The top two MSD 6th grade spellers from each school, received VIP transportation on one of our District school buses to Salk School. They showcased their skills in front of an audience of parents, School Principals, and District staff members.
During this rigorous competition, our spellers demonstrated their impressive talents, tackling challenging words such as centipede, phantom, teriyaki and astonish. The final winning word was "accolade".
We recognized the following students as our top three winners:
🥇 1st Place – Isabella Nguyen (Walt Disney School)
🥈 2nd Place – Pavel Perez (Juliette Low School of the Arts)
🥉 3rd Place – Alex Nguyen (Lord Baden-Powell School)
We will be honoring these outstanding students at our March School Board meeting.
Additionally, the top three spellers will represent the Magnolia School District at the county level competition.
