Magnolia School District Continues its Hard Work to Serve the Needs of Our Students and Families

Magnolia School District continues its partnership with Giving Children Hope, an organization that delivers weekly backpacks to some of our District families. Normally, these backpacks are filled with food and put together by members of their organization and then distributed to Magnolia School District families.

During these unprecedented times, Giving Children Hope is able to deliver the food to our District, but is not able to fill the backpacks. We are very proud of our teachers, who step in and volunteer their time to fill these backpacks for our families each week. The District is so thankful to have such amazing and dedicated employees. The teachers response to the call for help was so overwhelming some of the volunteers had to be turned away. Teachers help assemble the food bags and distribute them to our families.

In addition, support for our families has included help from various organizations, including:

1,000 pounds of pasta from the Anaheim White House Restaurant
Generous monetary donations from Sarang Church and Anaheim Rotary Club
Fresh food and vegetables from the Anaheim Clarion Hotel
Sandwiches from Starbucks
Facemasks for volunteers at each school from AST Sportswear in Brea
Fresh citrus from Colonel Greg Linden
Food for 200 District families from Vineyard Church Anaheim
Hundreds of pounds of food distributed to our communities weekly from Second Harvest food bank, bagged and distributed by our dedicated parent volunteers
