Lord Baden-Powell School highlighted two student-centered programs: Roadrunners Nest and the Journalism Club. Roadrunners Nest, sponsored by the PTA and developed by school social workers, provides students with a welcoming lunchtime space to relax, reset, and participate in calming activities. The Journalism Club helps build school spirit by spotlighting staff members and sharing stories about campus events and activities, strengthening connections and creating a greater sense of belonging among students and staff.
The Board also recognized the students from each school who earned the highest number of Accelerated Reader points, celebrating their outstanding achievement in reading.
In addition, the Board honored the 2026 Greater Anaheim SELPA Community Advisory Committee honorees for going above and beyond in serving students with disabilities.
Congratulations to all honorees and students for their accomplishments and contributions to our school and District community.
